There is a third type of Flash NAND that does not get much attention, at least from the enterprise; Triple Level Cell (TLC) Flash. Similar to how Multi-Level Cell (MLC) writes two bits per cell instead of the single bit per cell of Single Level Cell (SLC), TLC flash writes three bits per cell.
