EMC Swims in ‘Data Lakes’ with Isilon Updates

XtremeIO, EMC’s line of all-flash storage arrays, isn’t the only product line to receive updates this week.

The company’s enterprise networked attached storage (NAS) platform, Isilon, has been updated to better enable customers to manage, protect and analyze large pools of unstructured data. Within data centers, those pools are growing so large and serve so many business processes that they have expanded into “data lakes,” argues EMC.
