IBM TS3000 System Console offers hardware refresh of the TSSC server and new features for remote service and support

IBM TSSC is a service tool that provides many service and support functions from a centralized location. These functions include error initiated problem reporting, wellness checking, and remote services such as remote monitoring support, which are beneficial to both you and the service representative.

The main benefits of a TSSC include:

  • Faster data offload via broadband call home through Electronic Customer Care (ECC)

  • Improved serviceability
  • Better proactive maintenance

TSSC can provide remote support for many virtual tape storage product frames and unique attached tape systems. Examples of virtual tape storage product frames include TS7740, TS7720, and TS7650. Some examples of unique attached tape systems are TS3500 and 3592 Model C07 Tape Controller.
